His vast flight experience covers a wide array of aircraft models, including the Fokker 27, Boeing 737, Airbus 300, MD11, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 777, and the state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner. 

Captain Ebrahim Sadrudin Kisoro's grandparents were of Pakistani origin, brought to Uganda by the British colonial administration to assist in building infrastructure, such as railways.


This migration, which occurred during British rule, set the foundation for his family’s presence in Uganda.

Born during this colonial era, Capt. Kisoro went on to have a distinguished aviation career, making significant contributions to the industry across various airlines worldwide, and now serves as a board member of Uganda National Airlines.


His hands-on experience with these models indicates his adaptability to new aviation technologies and an expansive understanding of both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft.

Throughout his career, Capt. Kisoro served with multiple airlines, marking a unique blend of international exposure and diverse operational knowledge. 


His piloting journey took him to reputable airlines across different continents, including Uganda Airlines, Air Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, and Singapore Airlines

His experience working for these airlines highlights his ability to adapt to various aviation cultures, safety standards, and operational procedures. Such diverse service further enhanced his ability to handle different aviation environments and regulatory frameworks.

His illustrious career culminated in his retirement at Etihad Airways, one of the leading global airlines known for its high standards in aviation. 


Retiring after such a long, successful career at a prestigious airline draws attention to his high level of competency, discipline, and dedication to aviation. His experience at Etihad Airways, known for operating some of the most advanced aircraft, such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, speaks to his proficiency in flying the latest generation of jets.

Capt. Kisoro’s professional journey began with a solid foundation in aviation training. He joined the East African Civil Flying School in Soroti as a Cadet Pilot, aiming to serve East African Airways. The Soroti Flying School, known for producing skilled pilots, provided him with the technical grounding and discipline necessary for a successful career. 

This early exposure to professional training allowed him to develop the necessary skills to pilot various aircraft over the next four decades. His background as a cadet pilot is reflective of his lifelong dedication to aviation and ongoing personal development.

In addition to his technical proficiency in piloting, Capt. Kisoro also pursued academic and professional development. He attended numerous professional courses throughout his career to stay updated with industry advancements and best practices. 

One of his notable academic achievements was earning a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Jaipur National University in India. This accomplishment demonstrates his commitment to not only honing his flying skills but also expanding his leadership and management capabilities. 

An MBA equips individuals with critical thinking, strategic planning, and financial acumen, making it an essential asset for anyone aspiring to take on leadership roles in the aviation industry.

His academic and professional background ultimately led to his involvement in aviation leadership and administration. 

Currently, Capt. Kisoro serves as a board member at Uganda National Airlines. In this capacity, he contributes his vast experience and expertise to guide the airline’s strategic direction. 

His role as a board member reflects his ongoing dedication to the aviation industry and his ability to offer valuable insights into both operational and managerial aspects of the airline business. 

His combined experience in flying and airline administration makes him a well-rounded professional in the industry.
